Overview

DadChico is a hyperlocal grocery and fresh-meat marketplace. A single customer order can include items from several neighbourhood stores, one delivery partner collects from each and delivers to the door, and the customer receives one GST-compliant invoice. We designed and built the entire platform: storefront, Android app, admin & vendor console with POS, rider app and the engine that connects them.

The challenge

What was holding the business back.

  1. 01

    Many stores, one basket

Customers wanted groceries from one shop and fresh chicken from another, in a single checkout.

  2. 02

    Compliant billing

Each store is its own seller, yet the customer needs one clean GST tax invoice with an HSN-wise tax summary.

  3. 03

    Riders on the move

Delivery partners had to collect from several stores per order without confusion or missed pickups.

  4. 04

    Operators without developers

Delivery rates, surge pricing and store assignments had to be tuneable daily, without touching code.

Our solution

We built five applications on one shared platform. Orders are split automatically by store and planned as a single delivery with a pickup stop per store. The customer pays once, the rider follows one clear route, and every store sees only its own orders, while the operator controls pricing and delivery rules from a single console.

What we built

4 connected parts, one system.

01

Customer storefront

A fast, search-optimised shop that only shows stores delivering to your location.

  • Location-aware catalogue
  • Online payment or Cash on Delivery
  • Home delivery or store pickup
  • Order tracking
  • Downloadable GST invoices
02

Android app & PWA

The storefront as a native app, shipped to the Play Store and as an installable web app.

  • GPS delivery location
  • Offline recovery
  • Stays signed in
  • Invoices saved to device
03

Admin & vendor console

One console for operators and store owners, including a counter POS.

  • Live delivery board
  • Delivery rate & surge engine
  • Vendor catalogues & inventory
  • Walk-in POS with receipts
  • Excel sales reports
04

Delivery partner app

A focused rider app that always shows the next step.

  • Online / offline shifts
  • Push alerts for new jobs
  • Multi-store pickup flow
  • Turn-by-turn navigation
  • Earnings dashboard

Highlights

One order, many stores, one invoice.

The platform is the billing party, and each store’s items appear under that store’s own seller details with an HSN-wise CGST/SGST summary.

Built for the rider.

Pick up at each store, then deliver. Pickups are safe to retry, status updates instantly and cash orders show the amount to collect up front.

Operator control without code.

Delivery rates, surge multipliers, release intervals, cart fees, GST details and rider-to-store assignments are all editable from the console.
